BOB SZUTER
Bob Szuter is an award-winning independent writer/producer with over twenty years experience in field production. He’s been responsible for creating broadcast and online media focused on the arts, history, food culture and the environment. He currently produces and edits Pasta & Politics with Nick Acocella (NJTV), edits episodes for Mike Colameco’s Real Food (WNET), and produces stories for the long-running PBS arts series State of the Arts (NJTV, WHYY, and WNET).
While a writer/producer at NJN Public Television, many of Bob’s long-format programs were distributed nationally through PBS, including two documentaries that aired in the PBS national schedule: Green Builders, and Morristown: Where America Survived, narrated by Edward Herrmann. His first long-format documentary as writer-producer-editor for NJN, 2004's The Highlands Rediscovered, was distributed nationally on PBS for its science-based focus on the connection between healthy forests and water quality.
Since 2011, Szuter has worked as an independent media producer, creating broadcast shows, online videos and spot campaigns. Production partners and clients include: Preservation New Jersey; Greener New Jersey Productions; Yale E360; Rutgers University iTV Studio; Mercer County Sustainability Conference; and the Princeton Public Library for their annual Princeton Environmental Film Festival.

His last documentary for NJN, The Power of the Governor, won the 2011 New York Emmy for Best Political Special, and his profile of urban wetlands Turning the Tide received both a CINE Golden Eagle and a World Medal at the New York Festivals. Most recently, he was part of the State of the Arts team that won a 2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy for Best Magazine Program.
Bob is a graduate of Brown University, with an Honors degree in Semiotics and a BA in American History.
